Fall THESA sports begin preparation for their season in the late spring and over the summer for most teams. Season play begins in August or September and continues until the end of November. Basketball has fall tryouts and runs to spring break.
Boys The 2016-17 Rider boys Varsity basketball team had a great end to the season. The Riders won the NCHBC National Division II Championship game. Congrats to the Riders. Season information for the 2017-18 season will come out in September.
Girls THESA is excited to announce that Delyssa Miller has accepted a basketball scholarship at Oklahoma Christian University. Delyssa, congratulations on your scholarship!
2017 Cheer Team Tryouts were the week of April 17 - 21 for High School Girls 9th - 12th Grade. If you missed tryouts email the athletes name, grade, and any previous cheer experience to email@example.com or call Coach Pam McKeever at 817-999-2137. Have a conversation with Coach McKeever about your option to tryout for the team.
The 2016 TAIAO State Champion THESA Riders are holding tryouts for the 2017 season on Friday, May 12th and Saturday, May 13th. Tryouts do not require previous experience. Athletes will need a current sport physical, a deposit of half the sport fee and workout gear (no pads or helmets).
Volleyball tryouts are this Tuesday, May 2 from 3:30 p.m. - 5:30 p.m. for junior high and high school teams. Tryouts are held at Tejas Volleyball Club in North Richland Hills. There is a $15 fee per athlete for tryouts.
THESA is holding open boy's volleyball gym dates to assess the interest in beginning a Boy's Volleyball program. Open gym dates are Fridays May 12, May 19, and May 26 from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Spring THESA sports begin preparation for their season in the fall with practice or clinics into January when practices begin. Season play begins in February and runs into May for most spring sports.
Homeschool World Series play continues today in Florida. The Riders will play the Charolette Stampede as they compete for 5th place overall. The HSAA Angels and Houston North Side Falcons are in the Quarter Finals against teams from Oklahoma in pursuit of the national title. The 2017 Rider softball team is deep into their season. The Riders are the defending 2016 NACA Softball Division I National Champions.
The Riders are preparing for the Texas Homeschool Softball Tournament on April 22 at Central Park in White Settlement where they will defend their state title and then will look forward to the 2017 Association of Christian Athletes Softball National Tournament in Dayton, TN from May 9th to May 12th.
The tennis team is closing out their season with high school matches at Fort Worth Country Day on Tuesday and junior high matches on Friday versus Liberty Christian.
The Rider track and field team will be competing in the 2017 TAIAO Invitational Track Meet on April 22. The track meet is at Wanda R. Smith High School in Keene, TX. Come see our high school and middle school athletes compete in a broad range of events.
The track team is open to athletes from 8 years old through high school.
