    Fellowship of Christian Athletes

    High School athletes come together in a time of fellowship, worship and fun.  Meet and fellowship with THESA athletes from all our sports.


    Fall Sports

    Fall THESA sports are in season.  Volleyball matches and tournaments are on for all teams.  Football won the season in HIco on September 2nd.  The cheer team is preparing to lead fans as the football team pursues a second state championship.  Basketball, baseball and softball tryouts for spring 2018 team are scheduled in September and October.  Check each sport for the respective tryout information.


    Girl's Volleyball

    Volleyball season is headed into the national tournament.  Monday the teams all play at Oakridge as the final preparation for nationals in Omaha.   Volleyball nationals begins Thursday, November 2nd.  We will follow the team through the tournament.  Volleyball games are on the event runner on the web site home page.  Volleyball practice information is on the Calendar page.



    The 2016 TAIAO State Champion THESA Riders Varsity won their season opener 68-22 in the Hico Super Saturday.  The JV and middle school teams begin their seasons Friday, September 7th.  Come our for Friday night lights with the Riders.



    2017 Cheer Team Tryouts were the week of April 17 - 21 for High School Girls 9th - 12th Grade.  If you missed tryouts email the athletes name, grade, and any previous cheer experience to or call Coach Pam McKeever at 817-999-2137.  Have a conversation with Coach McKeever about your option to tryout for the team.


    Cross Country

    Cross Country is designed to fit any skill or interest level for ages 12 (6th grade) - 18 (12th grade).  See the calendar and contact Coach Mc Gill for more information.


    Boys Basketball 2017-18

    THESA Boys Basketball is holding tryouts for junior high (6th-8th grade) and high school (9th-12th grade) teams.  Junior High tryout registration starts at 5:45pm with the tryout running from 6:00pm to 7:15pm.  High School tryout registration starts 7:15pm with the tryout running from 7:30pm to 8:45pm.

    Summer Skills Clinics are happening for the girls junior high and junior varsity teams.  

    2016-2017 Season Highlight

    THESA is excited to announce that Delyssa Miller has accepted a basketball scholarship at Oklahoma Christian University.  Delyssa, congratulations on your scholarship!


    Spring Sports

    Tryouts for baseball and softball for spring 2018 team are scheduled in September and October.  Check each sport for the respective tryout information.  Most teams have fall practices or clinics to lead into January when practices begin.  Season play begins in February and runs into May for most spring sports.



    The Riders finished 5th in last year's Homeschool World Series and are already working to win the 2018 World Series.  The Riders have a Varsity team and a Junior Varsity team. Congratulations to the players who made the 2018 baseball teams.  High school age athletes who want to know if there are openings on either team should contact the baseball coordinator, Brian D., on the Connect tab under Coaches, Boys Sports, Baseball.

    Tennis - Boys / Girls

    The tennis team is closing out their season with high school matches at Fort Worth Country Day on Tuesday and junior high matches on Friday versus Liberty Christian.


    Track & Field - Boys / Girls

    The Rider track and field team will be competing in the 2017 TAIAO Invitational Track Meet on April 22.  The track meet is at Wanda R. Smith High School in Keene, TX.  Come see our high school and middle school athletes compete in a broad range of events.

    The track team is open to athletes from 8 years old through high school.

    Texas Home Educators Sports Association (THESA)

    THESA (Texas Home Educator's Sports Association) exists to support Dallas/Fort Worth area families with a calling to home educate their children by providing competitive sports programs, enabling children to grow in Godly character and skills at the junior and senior high level.  THESA offers cheer, volleyball, basketball, softball, tennis and track & field for girls and football, basketball, baseball, tennis and track & field for boys.
