NOTE: Attendance is highly encouraged, but is neither a requirement nor a guarantee of player placement for the Fall.

WHO: All prospective THESA Riders for the 2023-2024 Boys’ Basketball Season. So, if you know of homeschooled athletes that didn’t play for THESA in 2022-2023, but might be interested this year, please invite them or put them in contact with us.
WHAT (do I do to prepare for tryouts): Athletes should be working on their basketball skills and conditioning. There are videos on our website that can be used as an aid.

If a physical has not been completed, one must be completed before the first game. NOTE: a THESA Physical form is not required but is provided for convenience. 2023-2024 SEASON
ABOUT THESA BASKETBALL
THESA Riders boys basketball offers competitive basketball for middle and high school aged boys (age 10 and above).
The season runs from mid-August (game start in November) to mid-March. We compete against area homeschool teams, private schools, and some public schools throughout the DFW area. One of our program goals is to schedule a sufficient number of games in a season to prepare us for the homeschool tournaments at the end of our season.
We participate in several homeschool tournaments where some are at locations that require overnight stays (State tourney is 3 nights in Round Rock, TX / Nationals is 6 nights in Springfield, MO).
ATHLETIC FEES*
*Subject to change for 2023-2024 Season. Also, NCHC also charges a $50 per athlete player fee paid directly to NCHC at the time of player registration for the District/Regional/National Tournaments.
NOTE: Returning 12/14U Players and 16/18U Players do not need a new uniform provided prior year fits and is in good repair. Uniform includes custom sublimation home and away jersey and shorts and Shooter Shirt. An annual $50 THESA Annual Family Fee will also be collected if not paid yet for the 2022-2023 school year.
Parents: We are in need of volunteers for the upcoming season! Areas of need are coaches, assistant coaches, scorekeepers, clock operators, statistician, video/photography, etc. Please prayerfully consider how you can help.
