Girls Summer Skills Sessions 2019
This summer we have schedule skills sessions in the summer months for girls starting on Thursday, May 23, 2019 from 7:30pm - 9:30pm at Countryside Bible Church gymnasium, 250 Countryside Court, Southlake, TX, 76092.
Check the girls' basketball calendar on the THESA Riders website for additional summer dates.
In our 2018-2019 season, we had a team age 14 and under and a team age 16 and under.
Starting in the month of September we begin to have tryouts, form our teams, and prepare for the 2019-2020 season. The season runs from November to early March.
Our tryouts will be Thursday August 29, 2019 and during our first two team practice dates in the first week of September.
We expect to have a 14U team (8th grade A team, or 9th grade team) and an 18U team (Varsity). There is an option to form a team that is age 12 and under and age 16 and under if we get enough girls.
We play teams that are home schooled, TAPPS, and UIL (if they will schedule with us). We aim to schedule a sufficient number of games (20-30) in a season to prepare us for the home school tournaments at the end of our season. We play teams throughout the DFW area.
Our per player fees in the past have ranged from $300-$450, depending on the need for uniforms and the number of tournaments in which we participate.
Two home school tournaments are at locations that require overnight stays (State tourney is 3 nights in Round Rock, TX / Nationals is 6 nights in Springfield, MO) and we will participate in one of these two.
The girls’ basketball calendar events are posted in the THESA Riders website (www.thesariders.com).
Thanks for considering us. For questions, please contact Rick Ramos (THESA Riders girls’ basketball coach 817-721-2105 cell).
Cross Country is designed to fit any skill or interest level for ages 12 (6th grade) - 18 (12th grade). See the calendar and contact Coach Mc Gill for more information.
The 2019 Spring season finished with Softball repeating as National Champions and baseball competing in the Home School World Series. Check each sport for upcoming season information. Most spring sports hold tryouts in September or October and may hold some fall workouts.
Tryouts for the spring 2020 THESA Rider baseball season will be held on Saturday September 14th at 10am at Cross Timbers Park in N. Richland Hills. Players should arrive about 45 minutes early to allow time for registration, stretching, and warm ups. We will also have an Online Registration Link set up about two weeks before tryouts, so please check back at that time. Tryouts are open to home school athletes age 13 and over. For specific questions contact: Brian Duplechin, Baseball Coordinator. See Connect / Baseball for email information.
THESA Softball went undefeated at the NACA National Tourament in Dayton, Tennessee. The Riders came out on top by winning the championship game on Friday, beating the 3 time 2A Alabama State Champions, Evangel Christian of Alabaster, AL, by the score of 9-6.
THESA Tennis has both junior high and high school teams. Both teams are co-ed and compete during the spring season - from February through May. Tryouts are held in January each year.
We are a program that serves homeschooled athletes in the North Texas area. We also welcome students from private schools if their schools do not offer a tennis program. We have a range of athletes in our program - from the developing beginner to the state-ranked tournament player. There is a place for you!
